Kia ora koutou,

Welcome to this week’s edition of the Friday 5! Where we will celebrate all the wonderful on-going work at the NRHCC.

  1. Our Pacific Providers SouthSeas were out in Avondale last weekend for their vaccination event. The event was organised by the Samoan Community in partnership with the local Asian Community. Malo to everyone involved with the event!

2. The Outreach team have been supporting our supply chain resilience through vaccination outreach for staff and customers at stores throughout Tāmaki Makaurau

3. The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners are hosting their annual conference in Christchurch. We are wishing our NRHCC colleagues who are presenting this weekend the best of luck!

4. Friday 15th July, saw the largest day for the distribution of RATs with 120,000 RATs issued, this is 4x the daily average of RATS! Shout out to our CTCs and RCCs on the front line working to support the community and our testing and logistics teams who are working to maintain stock levels and support sites.

5. Yesterday Grant Davis-Calvert facilitated the first Wellbeing Session covering the theme Connect. Keep an eye out for the next Wellbeing Session next month, this will be focused on the theme ‘Keep Learning’. Here are some examples/tips we all can use to better connect with people who make us feel valued:

  • Smile at someone else.

  • Take the time to find out something you didn’t know about someone you know.

  • Contact with a friend you have not seen or spoken to for a while.

  • Reach out to someone who may be lonely and invite them to spend time with you.

  • Host a potluck catch up or BBQ with your team, neighbours, friends or whānau.

  • Connect with the whenua; grab some mates and get into the great outdoors - go on a bush walk, go surfing or mountain bike riding.

And finally, haere ra all our leavers this week! Simone Hunter (PMO) and Sandy Clark (Quality & Risk). Thank you for all your mahi during your time at the NRHCC, we wish you all the best in your future endeavors!

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Ngā mihi,

The PMO Team
