Kia ora koutou,

Join us in celebrating the week that was, in this week’s Friday 5:

1. Last weekend at our Highbrook site public health nurse, Pelenaise Latu administered Auckland Metro’s 500,000th dose. Pelenaise has administered more than 5,000 vaccinations since Highbrook opened in March

2. The invitations for the first Stadia event, were sent out on Wednesday this week and the implementation team have been working closely with the MIT comms team to target staff, students, and whanau to attend the event. So far there are 914 bookings in the system for the first mass event

3. The Outreach team have now completed all second dose visits in aged residential care settings and are working through a process for ‘mop up’ visits for facilities that require this. Planning is underway for the transition to other long-term residential settings, in particular disability and mental health. The disability residential programme started last week with two sites in Counties Manukau.

4. Minister of Health, Andrew Little visited our Tamaki Site earlier in the week and met some of the hard-working staff on the frontline vaccinating our community

5. This week the programme says haera ra to a handful of our exceptional colleagues. Meg Poutasi, Stefan Smith, Ian Wells, Roisin McDonald and Matt Pointon; fortunately, they are all returning to the DHB’s so we will be sure to see them around. Thank you all for your dedication and hard work during your time here at the NRHCC.

A reminder for any teams with new starters or colleagues who aren't on the existing distribution list please email through to NRHCCVacCoordination@nra.health.nz to be added to the Vaccination Programme distribution list.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Ngā mihi

The Vaxx team
