Join us in celebrating the week that was, in this week’s Friday 5:
1. This week our teams have been eagerly preparing for the launch of our campervans on Monday! Our campervans are a valuable extension of the Outreach initiatives by our Māori and Pacific Providers. Here is a photo of the logistics team busy prepping packs for the campervans!
2. Big shout out to our logistics vax supply team, who had their largest delivery day yesterday with 90 deliveries. Pai te mahi to Andy, Kelly, Prem & Daniel!
3. Tonight is the Tamaki Vaccination Centre late night, where night owls and late shift workers unite! The site is open all night from 8am today until 6.30am tomorrow morning. There’s entertainment in the early evening as well as a socially distanced sausage sizzle and coffee cart until 9pm - see the link below to the comms video:
4. Yesterday we passed 2 million doses in Auckland Metro, bringing our total doses to 2,006,994!
5. The Samoan Gala event held at Vodafone Events Centre was held over 6 days, finishing up on Wednesday. It was such a successful event, it was extended an extra 2 days due to high demand. Total doses came to just over 7,000! 48% of which were administered to Pacific Peoples!
This week we say harere ra to some wonderful colleagues! Lydia Aydon our Comms Lead who leaves us today and Ash Ford our HR Advisor whose last day is on Wednesday 13 Oct . We thank them for all their hard work and contributing efforts to the vaccine programme.
Big should out to Sarah Hartnell’s Mum who generously bought us a delicious cake on Wednesday!
Just to top off our Friday Five, here is some wonderful feedback from a client who visited the Tamaki Vaccination Centre recently:
Kia ora! I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone at the Iwi-run Tamaki Vaccination Centre in St Johns. My children and I have just received our second shots there today. The Team was so helpful, upbeat and really made us feel at ease. We also loved the music ... it was a great distraction from feeling anxious. Stay safe everyone and again ... THANK YOU SO MUCH!
