Kia ora koutou,
Welcome to this week’s edition of the Friday 5! Where we will celebrate all the wonderful on-going work at the NRHCC.
One of our Māori providers Te Hononga have been targeting West Auckland this week to boost Flu and Covid-19 vaccination rates. The team plan to hold events in central Auckland next week!

2. To remove barriers of access to care for patients and relieve pressure from Middlemore Emergency Department, some general practices chose to participate in a scheme that offered patients free consultations in Counties Manukau DHB. In addition to the free GP consultation initiative, pharmacies offered free consults and pain relief (analgesia) for children aged 13 years and under. A huge thank you to all our kaimahi in primary care that were involved in this initiative. As a result, approximately 2,945 patients received pharmacy services to access funded analgesics via a pharmacist consult and over 5,000 consults (GP, NP and RN) were completed over the course of the initiative.
3. The new NRHCC incident reporting form is now live! This form is to be completed for all incidents that occur, as well as to report any hazards. When you submit the completed form it will automatically be sent to the new NRHCC Incident email inbox NRHCCIncidents@adhb.govt.nz Here is the link to the incident form.

4. From the 1st of July the second Covid-19 booster became available for all people aged 50 and over and for healthcare, aged care and disability workers aged 30 and over. To date 25,000 second booster doses have been administered in Auckland metro.
5. Our outreach team visited the Auckland City Hospital to support with flu and covid boosters! Here’s some photos of our kaimahi on-site.

And finally, haere ra all our leavers this week! Dr Andrew Old (Chief Clinical Officer), Julie Helean (Planning) and Faustina Hickson (Logistics). Thank you for all your mahi during your time at the NRHCC, we wish you all the best in your future endeavours!
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
Ngā mihi,
The PMO Team
