Kia ora koutou,
Welcome to this week’s edition of the Friday 5! Where we will celebrate all the wonderful on-going work at the NRHCC.
1. The Testing team have been supporting the delivery of Rapid Antigen Tests to facilitate delivery of tests to whanau that are unable to leave their homes due to varying reasons or households that sit outside a 20-minute radius from a collection site (approximately 5% of households). This service went live on the 28th March and since then 8 deliveries have been made to 24 household members and a total of 120 individual tests. Ka pai! To all the teams involved to reducing barriers to access for whanau.
2. Ōrewa vaccination centre opened on the 27th September as the sixteenth and final vaccination community centre. The Hibiscus kaimahi have used this site since for all the Outreach activities on the Hibiscus Coast and have delivered 23,108 doses to date! The Ōrewa site has now officially closed its doors, but a huge thank you to all the kaimahi who have worked at this site over the past months and supported vaccinations and RAT distribution to some of our more remote communities.

3. Medsafe have provisionally approved Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine boosters for all 16-17 year olds 6 months from completion of their primary course. A booster dose is especially recommended for 16 and 17-year-olds who are at higher risk of severe outcomes from COVID-19. This includes those who are immunocompromised (or living with a family member who is immunocompromised) and Māori and Pacific rangatahi. As of this morning 160 booster doses have been administered to 16-17 year olds

4. Shout out to the Papakura Marae kaimahi; who have been running a vaccination centre, a testing site, RATs distribution centre and offering support to whanau isolating and providing food parcels. The marae has worked tirelessly over the past year to support the covid response and support whanau in the Community.

5. Gather round, and listen to my Easter tail. Don't worry, it has a hoppy ending. I carrot believe its Easter! Its officially time for the egg hunt – lets hop to it. The great NRHCC Easter egg hunt will take place on Thursday 14th April at 2.00pm and don’t worry I have so many egg puns, it's not even bunny. P.s we will have an egg-cellent assistant on site that day to support teams and he’s all ears for any clever team names! More details to come next week

And finally haere ra to Simon Dinnis who will be leaving NRHCC today, Simon has worked in the finance team over the past couple of months. Thank you for all your mahi during your time at the NRHCC and all the best for your next role!

Reminder: For any teams with new starters or colleagues who aren’t on the existing distribution list please email these through to SRogers@adhb.govt.nz to be added to the Friday 5 distribution list.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Ngā mihi,
The PMO Team
