Congratulations to Kadin Latham who won a supreme award at Māori Television’s fifth annual Matariki Awards – Ngā Tohu o Matariki o te Tau 2021! Te Rōpū Whakakaupapa Urutā (the National Māori Pandemic Group), whom Kadin is a part of, won recognition for coordinating the nationwide Covid-19 pandemic response for whānau Māori. Well done Kadin!

Just to top off our Friday Five, here is some wonderful feedback from a client who has been recently vaccinated at Henderson Vaccination Centre:
I would like to give a compliment to the staff working at the Henderson Vaccination Centre. The staff you have there are amazing and truly deserve recognition! Every person I interacted with was polite, professional, respectful and helpful. Despite it being a Friday afternoon, everyone was happy, the vibe was great and I felt like I was being spoken with as much energy as if I was the first person walking through the door. I'm sure the staff work long days, some just standing in the carpark, giving out masks as you walk in, or directing people inside the building, but every one of them smiled and interacted with me in such a positive way that made the whole experience better.
I also want to acknowledge the set up and smooth operating system that you have, well done. With the huge volume of people you have coming through the doors, the system works well and is great to see.
Thanks again to the staff at the Henderson Vaccination Centre.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Ngā mihi,
The Vaxx Programme
