Join us in celebrating the week that was, in this week’s Friday 5:

1. A huge shoutout to the Whānau Ora Takanini team who hit their 50,000 doses administered milestone. Well done on all your hard work over the past months to help protect our Whanau and keep them safe from Covid-19!

2. Our Samoan Tupulag Youth Event in Mangere last week supported by the Bader Drive health team ran last Saturday 30th October and our team vaccinated 132 people from 12pm – 4pm! 36% were under the age of 19 and an outstanding 90% were Pacific People! Malo to our Pacific Colleagues and everyone involved

3. The Epsom Cold chain team recently ran a Trash to Treasure competition and came up with some great pieces of art using the purples vial caps. Ka pai on your creativity!

4. Our superheroes were out in full force last week at rallying their village Halloween style with a late-night event at the Otara Markets. Well done to our South Seas team, you all look amazing 😊

5. This week NRHCC has a special furry visitor come and join the team! Klaus was put to work and supplied the team with plenty of cuddles to boost morale. He hopes to visit the team again soon!

Last week we shared the wonderful story of our Māori led campaign ‘Heroes in the Street’ where a group of Māori leaders, who are leading in all areas of the Maaori Covid 19 response came together to form a targeted Maaori response to address low Maaori vaccination coverage and significant vaccination inequities. And finally, some wonderful feedback from a local church who sent a small token of their appreciation to the CBD Vaccination Centre:
