Kia ora koutou,


Welcome to this week’s edition of the Friday 5! Where we will celebrate all the wonderful on-going work at the NRHCC.


1. This week PaRCH had a team session to reflect on the implementation and work of PaRCH over the past 6 months, thinking about what has worked well for the team and where they can make improvements to the service. PaRCH also farewelled the Fanau Ola team who alongside the Pacific ADHB team and were a huge support to PaRCH during the Omicron Surge. Malo!


2. Manurewa Marae supported a Tamariki Time - Vaccination Event at the Taha Awa Community Centre outreach event on Saturday 23rd April. The kaimahi vaccinated a total of 123 whanau of which 60 % were Māori. Below we have a photo of Tane who was lucky number 80 to be vaccinated and the winner of the Vodafone spot prize. Ka pai!



3. He pai te mahi to the NRHCC Outreach team who have celebrated their 1 year anniversary as a team! Over the past year the Outreach team have been working closely with Providers to organise over 1,300 events. Ngā mihi to our Outreach team as they work to reduce barriers to vaccination and testing in our community.



4. Friday 29th April we said haere ra to the Cloud Rat Collection Centre (RCC). The RCC opened on the 6 March and to date has given out 115,449 RATs . Thank you too all the kaimahi who have been working at the Collection Centre over the past couple of weeks to support the demand


5. This week NRHCC offered the flu vaccination free to all NRHCC staff and contractors, our amazing Vaccinators Carol and Liz administered a total of 110 immunisations. A reminder that the final flu vaccination clinic will be next Tuesday 3rd May from 10am – 12pm at Bledisloe House. Protect your whanau, yourself, and your community by walking into the Totara Board room on level 8 to get your immunisation!


And finally, haere ra to David Searchfield from our finance team who will be leaving the NRHCC on Wednesday 4th May. Thank you for all your mahi during your time at the NRHCC, we wish you all the best in your future endeavours!
